Bollywood Movies To Look Forward To In 2018

2017 may have come to an end and if we look back, the realisation hits for real that 2017 was a terrible year for the film industry. We have an endless list of flops like Raabta, Haseena Parkar, Sarkar 3 to name a few and even big budget films like Tubelight and Jab Harry met Sejal failed to impress the audience.

The only handful of films that did justice were Bareilli ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhann, Baahubali, Lipstick under my burkha and Newton. As of now, all we can say is let bygones be bygones and here we bring you the list of top 10 movies with their release date (May subject to change) that should hopefully shine out in the year 2018.


  1. Kalakaandi (12th Jan 2018)



There cannot be a better welcome to the new year than to go watch this riot in a theatre near you. The writer of Delhi Belly, Akshat Verma takes the director seat for this one. Awaited!


  1. Mukkabaaz (12th Jan2018)



Anurag Kashyap is back to pack a punch, this time with Anand L Rai funding him. Written by the protagonist Vineet Singh himself, the movie also stars Jimmy Shergill as the antagonist.

From the makers of A Wednesday, M S Dhoni, and Baby, this Republic Day we shall witness another hell of a ride that has names like Manoj Bajpayee, Naseerudin Shah, and Anupam Kher attached to it. The trailer was recently launched and it was quite a viral material.

  1. Parmaanu : The Story of Pokhran (23rd Feb)

From the director who helmed ‘Tere bin laden’, comes the story of Pokharan, Set in the 1980’s, Pokharan is the place where the nuclear bombs were tested by the Indian army. The project stars John Abraham and is also backed by him.


  1. Sanju (30th March 2018)

Touted to be the most awaited film of 2018, the Dutt biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Manisha Koirala as Nargis and Dia Mirza as Maanyata, Rajkumar Hirani directs, enough said.


  1. October (13th April 2018)

Varun Dhawan and Shoojit Sircar is a combo to look upto. Both have a 100% record at the box office and though it’s named October, you can go catch it in April in a theatre near you.


  1. 2.0 (27th April 2018)



The sequel to the 2010 film Enthiran, 2.0 is the most expensive film India has ever produced with a budget of 450 crores. Starring the superstar of all time Rajnikanth alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. The film will release in 15 languages.


  1. Raazi (11th May 2018)

The thriller is a period drama based on Harinder Sikkas novel ‘Calling Sehmat’, which is about a Kashmiri spy married to a Pakistani man during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. Funded by Karan Johar, the project is helmed by Meghna Gulzar (Talvar fame).

Another sports film to look upto from Excel Entertainment. The movie is the official biopic of the hockey player Balbir Singh because of whom we won the first Olympic medal as a free nation. Stars- Akshay Kumar, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and, Mouni Roy.


  1. Vishal Bhardwajs untitled (2nd October 2018)

Based on Hussain Zaidis book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, Deepika Padukone is touted to play the role of Sapna Didi who is known for attempting to kill Dawood Ibrahim while Irffan Khan will play Dawood.
