A movie that had names like Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta attached to it and undoubtedly one of the finest films of Yash Chopra; Divya Dutta outshone in the movie with her character portrayal of Shabbo who is more of a guardian than just a domestic help.

A movie with a heart in its right place, Kangana might have held the whole movie on her shoulders, but Lisa Haydon’s character Vijaylakshmi was too charming and alluring enough to leave an impact.

The most Epic movie of the Indian Cinema had many memorable characters but Anarkali played by Madhubala is one that is here to stay. She is portrayed delicate and weak but her love for Salim makes sure to leave everyone spellbind by declaring her love for him openly.

Hands down the most fearless character ever seen on the silver screen. Kajol was so splendid with her acting that it will melt your heart with an ease. Fighting for her sister’s brutal murder with agitation on her sleeves was simply extravagant.

Meher Vij’s depiction of a mother who is so galvanising for her daughter’s career is simply heart warming. Her performance was so influencing that i hardly know anyone who didn’t go back and hugged their mother tight after watching the movie.

Undoubtedly my favourite character from a Karan Johar movie that had so much substance to it. Accolades to Preity Zinta who did it with such a simplicity. It showcased prepossessing shades of a lady who is struggling at various aspects of life but still standing.

The movie is a punch on the face of the societal filth that there is and Konkana Sen Sharma (Mentioned again on this list) gives full justice to the character. It tells a lot about the living dead and what hell it is to be a journalist even if it involves glam.

Inspiring trait – Better to get hurt by a truth than comfort with a lie.
